Before attempting to scry you should ground and psychicly protect yourself by whatever method you use, some people use powerful visualisation techniques for example surrounding yourself with white light and calling on your guides and angels for their protection.
Gaze into the mirror ensuring that you have no distractions
This process takes time and patience therefore try not 'look' too hard to pick something up. Scrying is a meditation and takes a lot of practise for most people. After some time and practise you should begin to see a cloudy effect in the mirror, this is where you will pick up your 'visions' if they are not easily understood, you may get colours or shapes
